Trying to research for video urban
landscape, I stumbled across this and I thought it was great. Set up by Up
Projects, M-O-T-H are video graffiti artists who use wearable projector units
so they can project anywhere and everywhere.
In choosing this picture, was that in such
hostile urban environment, light (projection) can make something look so
beautiful and different. I feel this relates back to emotion, where projection
changes the mind to think differently about something. Or moreover, the sense
of ‘more than meets the eye’.
Maybe we could take a few photographs and
maybe make a short video of hostile urban environments and project Hu’s
‘emotion’ animations on top to change the feeling of the image.
From the website above, I done a little
more research on ‘M-O-T-H’ and the image above was from a series where the
‘M-O-T-H’ projectors went around projecting on different backgrounds.
These projectors (see video below) can
change the mood of a building, make people laugh, look and be intrigued by
images.
