Tobias Bjorkgren - Birds of Fall

While browsing through the internet I found some great images and an amazing photographer who uses projection within some of his work his name is Tobias Bjorkgren. The photographer is a portrait, fashion, advertising & editorial photographer based in stockholm his website is in swedish but it can be translated if you use google chrome if you would like to find out more about him.

Below is a behind the scenes video of his which I found I will also upload some of his images for you both to see.

The video above is from one of his projects called birds of fall where he interprets swedish birds with swedish fashion designers. The first model, Osannda as a pheasant and Julia who interprets an evening falcon.

Below I have included some of the images from his project for you to see they all seem very professional and the projection gives the images a feeling of the outdoors even though these were taken within a studio. Click images to see a larger view.

  1. I really like this photographer, the idea of using the projection to add to photography is amazing, they almost look like oil paintings. I think this could be really interesting to investigate by using projection and photography; maybe take photographs of projections and manipulate them in some ways to make them look completely different to what it looked like in the beginning.
